Steer is pleased to announce the appointment of Gonzalo Velasco as a Director in our Infrastructure and Asset Advisory team. Gonzalo’s addition to the Steer team significantly reinforces the company's infrastructure and aviation offer, underscoring our commitment to delivering innovative and effective solutions to our clients.
Gonzalo has almost 20 years of experience in the infrastructure development business, mainly focused on airports and energy. He previously held leadership positions at Ferrovial, including business planning, mergers & acquisitions, portfolio management, innovation, and sustainability. Gonzalo has also been a board member at several airports and energy assets and has chaired committees at airports and at Airport Council International (ACI).
He has undertaken a number of roles promoting innovation and sustainability in the industry including the creation of the Ferrovial Vertiports business unit and the development of strategic sustainability plans for assets. He holds a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA from IE Business School.
