In 2021, TRASNSMILENIO S.A. awarded two Operational Functional Units – OFU 6 Fontibón III and OFU 17 Fontibón V – with a concession contract for the provision of a fleet of electric buses and the provision and maintenance of the recharging infrastructure and the design and construction of the bus depots of the concession.
The financial structurers and potential lenders to the concessionaires required the services of an independent engineer to deliver technical due diligence (TDD) of the concession contract for the analysis and the approval of the transaction, as well as the monitoring and report on the fleet, batteries, and charging infrastructure status and maintenance through the lifespan of the concession contract.
We are currently ending the TDD stage of both projects, in which we offered a great mix of great communication and disposition to work with the stakeholders, with local and direct expertise and knowledge of Bogotá, the transit system, TRANSMILENIO S.A., and with a complete technical analysis of the concession contracts, the contractual scheme designed by the Sponsors, the risks allocation and the contract remuneration.
After the financial closure of both transactions, we will provide monitoring services.
