Horizon Nuclear Power is seeking to construct a dual reactor nuclear power station at Wylfa on the Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales. The construction of the scheme is a significant undertaking which will take approximately nine years and require up to 9,000 construction workers at peak and involve many thousands of HGV movements.

The Mayor of London invited outer London boroughs to apply for a share of £100m to develop high quality local walking and cycling infrastructure plans under the mini-Holland programme. With a track record of delivering travel behaviour change and active travel infrastructure, the Royal Borough of Kingston was keen to build on this by securing mini-Holland funding.

The Mayor of London made up to £1m available to boroughs to set up pilot Low Emission Neighbourhood (LEN) schemes. The purpose of LENs is to introduce a range of measures to improve local air quality by reducing emissions and people’s exposure to air pollution.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has been rolling out secure bike parking facilities (cycle hubs) across the city since 2012; they also have secure lockers for cycle parking. In order to use the facilities, cyclists sign up to become a member of the cycle hubs and lockers.
