The TO360 wayfinding strategy supports walking as the connecting mode that enables multi-modal transportation in Toronto. TO360 provides information for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and motorists through unified signage and mapping systems delivered consistently by the City of Toronto and its project partners.

Steer led the delivery of the Orange County Complete Streets Initiative, with the aim of helping Orange County jurisdictions create a transportation network that serves all users, regardless of mode of transportation, age or ability.

In 2012, the Moscow Government announced plans to double the size of the city territory, including creating a high-quality walking and cycling environment in residential areas and districts up to 10km from the city centre. Steer supported an international team working for a Government institute responsible for integrated transport projects.

Our design team was commissioned to increase the visibility of Middlesex University's Hendon campus in the local area, and support the movements of staff, students and visitors within the campus itself.

Steer was invited to participate in a design competition to create a colourful and innovative new space centred on temporary cycle parking to accommodate at least 100 bicycles that would act as a local landmark.

Steer was commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, to design printed materials to promote cycle safety and the Low Emission Neighbourhood.

As part of Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Special Districts Program, Greenway Plaza was identified as an area of Houston where there are significant opportunities to replace vehicle trips with pedestrian and bicycle travel. Steer was appointed to analyse needs and barriers to pedestrian and bicycle mobility and identify prioritised, costed infrastructure improvements.

Our design team delivered the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's City Connect consultation website in 2014 including an interactive consultation map that enabled visitors to 'pin' locations and add location specific comments or suggestions on cycling issues or improvements that they'd like to see implemented in the future.

Steer has been working with the City of Bologna since 2014 in helping the city council develop its first city wide wayfinding strategy. The strategy provides a framework to deliver a signage and information system for pedestrians and cyclists.
