Florida Department of Transportation commissioned Steer to develop a commuter challenge for Volusia County.  The challenge was developed on our custom gamification platform that provides our clients with comprehensive control in the challenge customisation - including adding awards of prizes and badges for completing specific tasks or logging certain trip combinations - and simple tools for day-to-day management tasks.

Steer was commissioned with our mapping partners, T-Kartor, by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to improve and systematise the design of their local transit network diagrams and posters. Key to this assignment was the opportunity to integrate the TO360 wayfinding map base to provide consistent information across different transportation environments and modes.

Steer led the development of a new responsive mobile site for Sound Transit, the transit operator for Seattle, Washington. We worked closely with Sound Transit and their UX partners, Anthro-Tech, to prototype, test and build the site including all back-end development. 

Valley Metro's website wasn't serving the needs of their users, nor the needs of their internal marketing and customer service staff. The site provided key rider tools for over 80 transit routes, such as a trip planner and rider alerts, but wasn't suited to the smartphone format.

Steer led the delivery of the Orange County Complete Streets Initiative, with the aim of helping Orange County jurisdictions create a transportation network that serves all users, regardless of mode of transportation, age or ability. 

Metro C is the first underground line to be built in Rome, Italy for almost 30 years. The line started operating in 2015, and will eventually cover 31 stations stretching along the East-West axis of the Italian capital. Roma Metropolitane and Metro C SpA commissioned Steer to develop station wayfinding and passenger information for the new service. 

In 2012, the Moscow Government announced plans to double the size of the city territory, including creating a high-quality walking and cycling environment in residential areas and districts up to 10km from the city centre. Steer supported an international team working for a Government institute responsible for integrated transport projects.
