The project aimed to carry out energy characterisation of urban and interurban road freight transport in the National Territory in an effort to strengthen the construction of demand projections, the country's energy balances, and the measures of the Energy Action Plan.

The National Strategy for Electric Mobility (ENME) aims to define actions to accelerate the transition to electric mobility and incorporate 600,000 electric vehicles in Colombia by 2030.

As part of the national electromobility strategy, Colombia has the goal to introduce 600,000 electric vehicles by 2030 and 6,600 by 2022 (defined by national government plan).

The World Bank Group commissioned Steer to develop a comprehensive market assessment tool covering the overall 2W, 3W, 4W cargo/freight fleets, passenger fleets and bus markets, together with supporting charging infrastructure, with deep dives into selected cities across three states.

Over a 12 month period, Rachel Brisley, one of Steer Economic Development’s Associate Directors, was responsible for co-authoring the ‘Health, Communities and Built Environment’ Chapter of the UK’s next UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) Evidence Report.
