Steer was selected by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications (MTT) to develop the Master Logistics Plans for the northern and southern zones of the country, covering a total of eight regions.

The Department for Transport (DfT) engaged Steer to conduct a national evaluation of a programme designed to boost the uptake of electric cycles (e-cycles) across England.

Grand Central Station, Belfast’s new multi-modal transport hub, officially opened for bus services on 9 September 2024, with rail services following the next month.

Steer was brought on board by NI’s Department for Infrastructure (DfI) to develop a strategy to accelerate EV adoption – the first of its kind in the region.

Steer helped shape the multi-modal transport strategy for Letchworth’s LG1 site, paving the way for 900 homes and vital community infrastructure.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Buenos Aires City implemented new cycle lanes on two major Avenues (Corrientes and Córdoba) as part of an ongoing strategy to promote active mobility. Buenos Aires City needed a Social Cost-Benefit Analysis methodology to evaluate investments in infrastructure for cyclists, and Steer was hired to develop it with financing from the World Bank. 

Steer was commissioned by the NRSA to provide technical assistance in the formulation of Local Road Safety Plans (LRSP) for 18 municipalities in the department of Cundinamarca.

Since 2021, Amberside Advisors, a Steer company, has been supporting a consortium led by Triple Point, in the role of delivery partner to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), to promote and provide government funding for heat network projects from its £300m+ Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF).
