By Steer

Anita Mauchan rejoins Steer Davies Gleave after seven years of working for a range of private and public clients in the field of demand forecasting and policy advice. She joins Steer Davies Gleave’s Leeds office as a Director in the Planning team.

Anita is a specialist in directing traffic and appraisal studies for major infrastructure projects advising regional and national governments, concessionaires, private sector clients and project lenders including the World Bank. She joins from CH2M where she led demand forecasting and business case studies for private and public sector clients including Highways England and Local Enterprise Partnerships.

Leaving Steer Davies Gleave in 2009 to take up the role of senior traffic advisor to the Bouygues group of companies, she led the procurement of traffic studies, managed consultants, advised on bidding strategy, supported concessionaires and negotiated with national governments.

One of Anita’s key skills is the communication of complex technical approaches in a clear straightforward manner, developed working in the field of due-diligence for the public and private sector, in the UK and overseas.  She has written several research papers and delivered training courses on demand forecasting techniques.

At SDG she will assist colleagues in growing our portfolio of transport planning, strategic development and economic advisory work in the UK and support our infrastructure advisory team in the field of demand and revenue forecasting for clients in the UK and overseas.

Sharon Daly, Head of Planning at Steer Davies Gleave said, "Anita is a true expert in traffic, appraisal and due diligence studies and a highly respected consultant. We are very much looking forward to working with her again.”
