Pride Month 2023

By Steer

June is #PrideMonth, a month dedicated to remembering the 1969 Stonewall riots and the tireless work of LGBTQIA+ people to live without fear of violence, harassment, and discrimination simply because of who they are.

At Steer, we firmly believe that diversity is our strength. Our diverse workforce brings together unique perspectives, experiences, and talents that drive innovation, collaboration, and success. By embracing and respecting individual differences, we create a culture where everyone feels valued, empowered, and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work every day.

In this spirit, we celebrate and support our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, clients, partners, and community members during Pride Month and beyond. We recognise that true inclusion means going beyond mere acceptance; it means actively fostering an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive professionally and personally.

For Pride Month in 2023, Steer is partnering with GiveOut and its Pride with Purpose campaign to support LGBTQIA+ charities around the world. Our Staff Forum will match any donations made by our employees.

Moreover, we encourage everyone to participate in Pride-related events and activities within their local communities. Volunteer, attend pride parades or virtual celebrations, and support LGBTQIA+ organisations. By actively engaging and promoting equality, we contribute to a more inclusive society.

As we celebrate Pride Month, let us remember that diversity and inclusion are ongoing commitments that require continuous effort and support. It's not just a one-month celebration; it's a year-round dedication to creating a safe, equitable, and affirming workplace for all. Together, we can build a brighter future where everyone can be their authentic selves, free from prejudice and discrimination.

Happy Pride Month! #pridemonth2023 #wearesteer
