Working together with East Architects, Steer prepared a funding bid to Transport for London (TfL). Our bid set out a coherent and compelling case for the scheme and was successful in securing £8m of TfL funding.

Steer was commissioned by Transport for London (TfL) to assess driver behaviour at junctions where continuous footways had been installed in London. A continuous footway refers to a priority junction at which the footway parallel to the major road continues uninterrupted at the same grade and with the same surface.

As London's population is expected to continue to grow so is consumer demand for goods and services including online purchasing. This, in turn, has generated the need for greater management of delivery and servicing trips across the city to minimise externalities such as congestion and emissions.

Projects

The London Borough of Waltham Forest was successful in its bid to the Mayor of London for £30m funding to set up a ‘mini-Holland’ programme. This comprised a range of walking and cycling improvements across the borough.
