Steer has supported travel planning for the Royal Marsden since 2007. However, in light of recent and planned development works, predominantly at the Sutton site, an in-depth study of car parking was required in addition to the programmed refresh of the travel plan targets.

Martin is an Associate in Steer’s Development Planning and Design Division and a highly experienced Project Manager and Project Director. With over 20 years of experience, he specialises in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams on transport and development planning projects, advising public and private sector clients across residential, commercial, retail, leisure, and logistics sectors.

Transport for London (TfL) uses Willingness-to-Pay as a measure of the benefits customers receive from a wide range of service and infrastructure attributes. The values must be kept up to date, and values for new attributes estimated as the need arises.

In 2012, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) successfully used our Urban Dynamic Model (UDM) to win £1bn funding for its Transport Investment Fund, designed to boost the West Yorkshire economy by improving connectivity between employers and their workforce, customers and suppliers.

Merseytravel had been a long-term user of our Urban Dynamic Model (UDM), having first used it in 2006 to support the development of their Local Transport Plan.

The National Infrastructure Commission appointed Steer to undertake a study to inform them on the impact that different patterns of spatial development to 2050 might have on the performance, capacity and sustainability of the strategic road network, other primary routes and national rail network within the Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford Corridor, and between this corridor and other destinations.

Steer was commissioned by Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (SCCRTC) to implement a transportation behavior change outreach campaign called Cruz511 In Your Neighborhood.

Steer has worked with Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) in the Tri-Valley area since 2016 on their SmartTrips individualized marketing program.

Between March 2014 and March 2015, Steer developed a comprehensive three-year transportation plan for Mount Saint Mary’s University’s two Los Angeles campuses to address parking issues and increase mobility for students, faculty, and staff. In September of 2015, Steer was contracted to develop a TDM Implementation Plan and branding for the TDM portion of the previous plan.
