Projects

The TO360 wayfinding strategy supports walking as the connecting mode that enables multi-modal transportation in Toronto. TO360 provides information for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and motorists through unified signage and mapping systems delivered consistently by the City of Toronto and its project partners.

Projects

Following on from our successful delivery of Toronto City's TO360 wayfinding strategy we were appointed by the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry & Recreation team to deliver an ambitious project aimed at improving wayfinding across the City’s 1600+ parklands.

Projects

The project consisted of design and preparation of documents for the South Sub-Regional Transport Plan (SRTP) updates for five London sub-regions. The SRTP was first developed in 2010 and it helped to translate the Mayor’s Transport Strategy goals, challenges and outcomes at a sub-regional level. Key challenges identified for all sub-regions were improving air quality, reducing CO2 emissions and increasing cycling and walking.

Projects

Steer led the delivery of the Orange County Complete Streets Initiative, with the aim of helping Orange County jurisdictions create a transportation network that serves all users, regardless of mode of transportation, age or ability.

Projects

Steer prepared this strategy for the City of London Corporation to guide public realm improvements in the Shoe Lane Quarter of the city. A core component of the work was to understand and accommodate ongoing change related to large development sites, and the future opening of Crossrail nearby in Farringdon.

Projects

Steer led a multi-disciplinary team of consultants to develop a range of projects for Ruislip Manor high street to help regenerate this important local centre with support from the Mayor’s Regeneration Fund.

Projects

In 2012, the Moscow Government announced plans to double the size of the city territory, including creating a high-quality walking and cycling environment in residential areas and districts up to 10km from the city centre. Steer supported an international team working for a Government institute responsible for integrated transport projects.

Projects

Oxford Street is a retail centre of both local and global importance, attracting visitors from the UK and overseas, however the quality of the existing street environment faces critical challenges to ongoing success, most notably in terms of: pedestrian comfort; road safety and security; air quality; vehicle dominance; and transport accessibility.

Projects

Steer was commissioned by the Oaxaca State Government in Mexico to undertake a review of the challenges facing access to public transport and to prepare concept designs for a demonstration complete street project.

Projects

Steer was commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, to design printed materials to promote cycle safety and the Low Emission Neighbourhood.
